The Weeknd "After Hours Til Dawn Tour" at Levi's Stadium, August 27, 2022
Updated: Sep 6
The Weeknd brought a stadium show to Santa Clara CA's Levi's Stadium that had the kind of stage produced scope that nobody's seen before. The production quality was off the charts, with a city built on the stage at one end of the football field, spanning sideline to sideline, with a catwalk extending from that seventy-five yards out and ending with a giant scale model moon hanging over the endzone. Giant screens showed Abel commanding the entirety of the stage, in constant motion, the visuals helpful for the fans in the nosebleeds - fans who were spilling out of their seats singing, dancing, recording with their phones, gleeful to be in the presence of a true entertainer. The setlist was 29 songs deep with all favorites covered, giving Weeknd fans a show they'll never forget. Openers were cigarillo-in-teeth synth guru/EDM producer Mike Dean, who got the crowd ready with his Moog, and beautiful-voiced Swedish songstress Snoh Aalegra, who did not allow photographers.
